Hi,
I just downloaded this sample pack: https://samplesfrommars.com/products/free-808-from-mars
It comes with a .PGM file originally for MPC1000.

I tried to load it on the MPC500, it works. But how does it work, do it lose the pads 13, 14, 15, 16 of each bank A, B, C, D? (Since the MPC500 has 12 pads instead of 16 pads)

Or is it rearranged another way?

Also, is there a computer program (freeware) on PC with which I can see PGM files on the computer? Or even edit them?

Thx!

The samples just continue in the next bank, so you won’t loose any of them.

There is a program editor for pc/ mac called MPC Maid. You can build your programs in there, export them and load them up in your 500

Thanks Menco for your answer.
I tried, and I confirm I have all the samples for this sample set.

PS: for a MPC1000 PGM which uses 4*16pads=64 samples , then I'll only have 4*12=48 samples availables on MPC500, and I'll lose the last 16 samples on a MPC500?
