How can i stop a sound from playing over itself

hey guys so when I'm sequence mode on my 2kxl and I hit a pad more than once the sound just plays over itself numerous of times . is there a way to stop this? for example when I'm in Trim mode I can hit the same pad multiple times and the sound doesn't play over itself. how can I adjust this ? I tried to describe it as best as I could.

Not sure on the xl but it should be in the program setting.

its in the program edit page for that particular pad - there an option that will be set to POLY you want to change that

no - first you have to confirm it with the internet.

im just **** with you. yes. try it and find out. note off is cool too and maybe even required if you have loops set

lol I'm still at work for another 4 hours I was just trying to get as much info/help as I could before I got home but thank you again man
