I'm "eh" on the drive to turn quantize off. Maybe its because of the blend of electronic styled music for me, as well as the doubled bpm I work in (anything under say 90 bpms, gets doubled - trap style, so 80 bpm is now 160), so I have the granularity to fit into a groove/pocket/be on grid, while not necessarily being "on grid". With that said, its only on the foundational rhythm pieces that I'll do it, say if its boombap, my snare/clap and maybe (2) of my kicks that fall somewhere in between (or hats in trap), but everything else I typically turn it off.
