I synced up my splice account without thinking about internal storage limits. I tried researching how I can just delete the splice folder to no avail. Can you guys help me get this folder erased so my internal storage isn't tapped? I would just reset it but I made a beat I don't want to delete. ...still a big newbie with this machine lol. PS I do have an ext hd that I will be using in the future.

deleting one the internal folders messed up the directory for opening templates. I need to remake the folders that it looks in on startup.

What is the internal folder directory (factory settings)?

This forum is definitely not dead. I think it’s more likely that not many people are using Splice integration, so not too many answers to give. Splice integration wasn’t received highly here, at least in my perspective.

The MPCs are also in between versions right now, and Reason just released a new version of their software, folks are just busy man. Forum participation comes and goes in waves.

Default directory structure on my internal drive:

Demos
Expansions - with sub directories 'Clips', 'Instruments', 'The Vault 2'
MPC Documents - with sub directories 'Plugin Presets', 'Plugin Skins'
Splice

I doubt you need any actual content in any of those directories, just their existence should be enough.

But ultimately if you are experiencing erratic problems with your MPC you should contact Akai for support and warranty claims. I believe they can even provide you with a special installer that places the original files and folders back for you. But your problem could be something else so always worth contacting Akai.

Thank you for the response towards the question at hand. I compared yours and my directory and made a demos folder and clips folder that I was missing. Understanding that it might be hidden things like you said I feel I should be thorough and ask if there is any folders in the demos folder. It just seems like the missing part of the equation is a templates folder and a recents folder somewhere.

Edit: In the meantime I will do what you said and see if akai can hook me up with that installer. Thank you for the insight.
