The Official 2.7 Bug Thread

2.6 & 2.7 have the following bug:

Controller mode:

When certain plugins (L1 Limiter or Bluecataudio) are loaded into lets say submix 1 or 5, submixes 3 and 4 will stop working. Audio tracks that were supposed to go trough submixes 3 and 4 are skipping these subs and are routed to the master Bus instead,

This still makes 2.6 & 2.7 unusable for me.

I'm still at 2.5

Yawnnnn! Its a good update for Ableton Clip Users...Bigtime.

They fixed a few Hiccups with Crashing Problems. Which is good.

My Theory...2.7 is a Pacifier for a Bigger Announcement! Possibly a New Model.

But the NAMM 2020 show is next month. That doesn't seem like Ample time to Announce a New Model. Who Knows!!!

Anyone else running into problems when loading vst plugins into the submixer chanels?

BUG: Akai wants us to use Ableton Live instead of a standalone device we paid for

Mpc X wont open in controller mode anymore since updating to 2.7 on mac mojave for me.

Well I guess I won't be installing it then. Anybody else or just a one off incident?

Can you downgrade back to 2.6?


EDIT: Live works fine in controller mode on Mojave here. Just finished updating the Live and the MPC software, and Im playing back a tune on the desktop now.

I redownloaded and installed software and driver several times but its the same. It sees ths external hard drive and stand alone works fine.

It doesn't show up in midi devices

Same thing happened to me. Can't connect in controller mode anymore.

Working fine here, Im running 10.14.6. I didn't even think to check that but, the song I was playing back earlier in the desktop software was triggering my Microwave XT, Blofeld and E5000 from the Live's two MIDI ports. Its all there in the MIDI prefs, its in Audio MIDI Setup too. I gotta test Logic still but man, I haven't opened it since I reinstalled my Mac a month or two ago. I gotta wait for it to scan EVERYTHING again haha. I was kinda scared at first but so far so good with 2.7. The whole Live thing hasn't really affected a damn thing, I just don't get any goodies to use. So far nothings broken, no menu changes to relearn or anything. The new Ethernet menu item pushed Splice off the screen so I don't even have to see that anymore when Im in the preferences. All good here for now.

Good. Mono you are using the live the right way. Much can be accomplished with just the live but the magic comes out with using outboard and other boxes.

I was running the whole 'studio' last night with it. Everything is working as usual, all the outputs, all the MIDI ports, etc.. I did get my first 'MPC has recovered from an internal error' message though after a couple hours. Had a couple more before the night was over.. Hopefully that was just a bad flash, but the controller part seems to be ok, even listened to some Gravediggaz through the mixer with the Live as just an audio interface last night.

Is this a bug??

Using MPC 2.7 operating system on firmware or software. Load a demo project and listen to the song. You will notice the outputs instantly clip on any demo song you play. Perhaps they lowered the headroom on the software and firmware.

I still experience hiccups or audio dropouts when changing mode on standalone with menu+pad.
I had it since 2.4 and I still have it on 2.7.
Can someone confirm same issue please or not so I can understand if my Mpc Live is a faulty unit?
