Hello,
I really tried to make a connection between my MPC Live and my Windows computer but fails partially.
I assigned a fixed IP to the MPC thanks to the wifi MAC address. Once I enable the wifi connection from the MPC, the Akai Network instantly shows the unit. So far so good. Everything's fine with a wifi connection. I can use the MIDI remote port with Ableton or Reaper.
The problem is that I would like to benefit of a very-low latency and, above all, of a stable connection to play live without any wifi. In other words, I want a working wired connection. Since it does not work directly with a the official USB cable, I bought an adapter USB female -> RJ45 (something like that:
https://www.amazon.fr/SIENOC-Ethernet-A ... 070&sr=8-6).
After having disabled the wifi of the MPC, I plugged the cable between the MPC and my computer (in the RJ45 port) but the MPC touchscreen shows "Status: Disconnected". I guess I have to do it manually. So I typed "ipconfig" in Windows Powershell to know IP address, subnet mask and default gateway of the computer. I typed all theses information in the manual address method available on the MPC, but nothing happens. I launched the Akai Network panel and it shows "Not available on network". Same thing if I plugged the cable into the router instead of the computer.
I don't know what to do

What kind of adapter do you use? Do you have a mac or a PC? Is it possible to plug the cable directly into the computer or do we have to connect it to the router?
Last question: I'm wondering how to know the MAC address of the ethernet card of the MPC (I know the MAC address of the wifi card but not the ethernet one). That way, I could map a fixed IP for the wired connection and maybe the problem would be solved.
Thanks for reading,
Any help would be appreciated
