but you are absolutely right. But this also goes to show this is another market share grab, which, may or may not be a good thing. There is frustration seeing yet another hardware device released when they have not implemented things into the software, firmware and workflow that should have been by now. This makes me question whether they are trying to make bank on what they have established, knowing they can't push the OS much further, OR if they are getting these units out BEFORE a full software revision for OS3.
Hoping it's the latter.
Aren't they all market share grabs?
It's good IMO because the format hasn't changed and the line will continue to receive development. So we'll get features we've been asking for. With the marketing being standalone centric, who knows if they will address the software?
IMO, the software gets ignored because so many proudly boast they're standalone only. When I was using the software and suggesting improvements, some told me to go back to my DAW. How many folks here say they never even installed or used the software? How many claim that's what these MPCs were made for, standalone? They're simply responding to their customers.

We shall see what happens with this MPC
Ha! I wondered why you created a 2nd thread.
Good things, hopefully, as the entire line will benefit.

Depends who you are. If you use the software & have 3rd party effect plugins, I suspect you want PDC. Standalone, you want disk streaming.

Studio Black: 1.55" x 11.2" x 10.1" or 39.4 x 284 x 257 mm
MPC ONE: 10.7” x 10.7” x 2.1” or 272 x 272 x 53 mm
I dig the Studio layout and almost got it over the Touch at the time. I think the bigger screen didn't allow them to copy the format. I think they did a good job except giving the qlink button all that space. The branding is given too much space as well. And some want the qlinks on the other side of the screen.
The groove baby, the groove...
