  One Thread got shut down LOL I was trying to figure out why. Discontinuing the Live?
When 2.7 came dudes just jumped over 3.0 and went straight to a new MPC LOL hahahaaaa

LOL, I just noticed that thread got locked too. And looks like Frisbi is out??? Hope not though - always had some good thoughts to share.

If a new Live launches in May, I doubt I’d get one. Like I was saying in the other thread, my gripes are all software based, so maxed out RAM and / or disk streaming wouldn’t excite me enough to trade in and up.

 @E. Yeah man but l keep it moving. I have to much to do then worrying about a thread. Sh** getting tired.
 Frisbi? What he do?

If a new MPC comes l been said l wouldn't get it. Akai has left a bad taste for me.
Im not excited about the MPC and its magical spell anymore. The thing about it, l don't need it.

In these days you have to, keep it moving. We're at point and time, where we have so many choices. So there is no longer one ring that rule them all. I await the next MPC, even though I like the MPC ONE. If the MKII or what ever it is called is dope. I'll give away the one and get the next.

I agree, more ram & streaming isn't that appealing but what about a more responsive touch screen? If it was more fluid & accurate it might sway some people...

Look at the MPC One, it already has more buttons than the Live. Akai realised they messed up with the Live, making it all depend on the touch screen...

I dont think Akai "Messed Up" wit the Live. They Concentrated Most of their energy, on it being Portable. And actually thought users would appreciate the Technological Ease of a Touch Screen. Figured we'd be happy in this Button-less World.

In this Day & Age, Touch Screens are Everywhere! Phones, Watches, McDonalds, Tablets, computer monitors, etc...

Akai assumed incorrectly i guess lol. We still want to push Buttons on the MPCs.

Plus with the Live, Akai wanted a Unit with Less Features as the MPC X. So they took away most of the Buttons and Knobs. Kinda like Car Manufacturers do....Basic Trim vs Luxury Trim with all the Bells & Whistles

They Used that same logic with the MPC One. More Buttons, Less Inputs/outputs, HDD, No Battery. Lower Price Point.

I Believe they gonna Drop another Luxury Version SUV Suburban Now!!!!

He seems to get extremely sensitive when people dont agree with his point of views, or get frustrated with him after giving him solutions to the same problems he repeatedly moans about and he never bothers doing them. He's blown up and left Gearslutz like 3 times now in just the last 8 months or so. The last time he did it was after throwing a fit about his memory issues and his glitching when changing modes. No one could replicate the problem, we asked constantly for more clarification on it, we told him time and time again, SEND IT TO AKAI NOBODY HERE CAN HELP. He never listened, just kept the ranting going, and eventually after someone told him off (again) he threw a fit and left. He usually comes back immediately under a new username though.

Enochlight might remember him from Gearslutz as Soulvaki Space (that was his latest pseudonym before he quit again just a month or so ago). Now a couple folks think he is the user Simpler who showed up at GS right around the time he rage quit last time.. Im not so sure though.

Yes I agree with that 100% about the screen that is more responsive. Cause if you don't have all the tactical buttons then that screen should be better than most cell phones.

Frisbi is cool. Not sure why he gets so triggered, he seems to have a pretty good grasp of English but I’ve noticed on other forums that sometimes people have a hard time with American English slang and especially sarcasm. Also a perceived attitude they think we have.

Hope him the best.

I don't know him aside from our exchanges here, but all of our exchanges seem to have been pleasant. Didn't know he went by all of those other screen names at GearSlutz, though. To his defense, when Charlie tended to engage with him, much of the exchanges did tend to pointlessly drone on. Some people have thicker hides than others, I suppose. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, about the "new" MPC Live.. really have no clue. I just bought a Behringer TD-3 in acid yellow from Sweetwater, and when I casually asked my rep about the backordered MPC Lives, he claimed that they keep getting orders for the Live and that he expects to receive a shipment soon. Whether or not that ends up being an "MK2", a bunch that were horded in a warehouse in some dark corner of the world, or an empty box full of cob webs... is anyone's guess.

Anyone who announces on a message board, that they're leaving are just looking for attention. Plus, the troll
just made a new account. Look at the new users and read the post. It's the same exact grammar, cadence and writing style. Changing one's grammar, okay. But changing the other two is very difficult to do.
