If a new Live launches in May, I doubt I’d get one. Like I was saying in the other thread, my gripes are all software based, so maxed out RAM and / or disk streaming wouldn’t excite me enough to trade in and up.

Akai realised they messed up with the Live, making it all depend on the touch screen...Eyalc wrote:LOL, I just noticed that thread got locked too. And looks like Frisbi is out??? I agree, more ram & streaming isn't that appealing but what about a more responsive touch screen? If it was more fluid & accurate it might sway some people...

In this Day & Age, Touch Screens are Everywhere! Phones, Watches, McDonalds, Tablets, computer monitors, etc...
Akai assumed incorrectly i guess lol. We still want to push Buttons on the MPCs.
Plus with the Live, Akai wanted a Unit with Less Features as the MPC X. So they took away most of the Buttons and Knobs. Kinda like Car Manufacturers do....Basic Trim vs Luxury Trim with all the Bells & Whistles
They Used that same logic with the MPC One. More Buttons, Less Inputs/outputs, HDD, No Battery. Lower Price Point.
I Believe they gonna Drop another Luxury Version SUV Suburban Now!!!!

He seems to get extremely sensitive when people dont agree with his point of views, or get frustrated with him after giving him solutions to the same problems he repeatedly moans about and he never bothers doing them. He's blown up and left Gearslutz like 3 times now in just the last 8 months or so. The last time he did it was after throwing a fit about his memory issues and his glitching when changing modes. No one could replicate the problem, we asked constantly for more clarification on it, we told him time and time again, SEND IT TO AKAI NOBODY HERE CAN HELP. He never listened, just kept the ranting going, and eventually after someone told him off (again) he threw a fit and left. He usually comes back immediately under a new username though.
Enochlight might remember him from Gearslutz as Soulvaki Space (that was his latest pseudonym before he quit again just a month or so ago). Now a couple folks think he is the user Simpler who showed up at GS right around the time he rage quit last time.. Im not so sure though.
