I gotta figure out how to wire up the HDMI so me and Danoc can jam this **** on a 80" Samsung display hah.

1. Buy an Intel NUC, connect it to a monitor, Install the MPC Software, then use it in controller mode.

2. Buy a Window Surface Go Tablet with Microsoft Surface Dock to your monitor, install the MPC SOFTWARE, then use it in controller mode. Or Surface 3 which has USB A and HDMI out. (I've tired both.)

3. Wait for the Windows Surface NEO and Windows 10X and see how that works.

why go through all that?

1. If using controller mode , i know in win10 notifications area you can select 'project' to send your screen to another monitor/tv

2. hdmi ~ most laptops / pcs will have it so just plug one end into that and the other into the tv.

They are all directly connected, also they're cheap enough to be dedicated MPC Software machines. As people'S laptops/Desktop tend to be used for other things.

MPC > NUC > MONITOR
MPC > SURFACE GO (If you want a larger monitor, you'll need Microsoft HUB)
MPC > SURFACE 3 > (If you want a larger monitor, the Surface 3 has hdmi out.)

Hi all....my first post on this forum. I've been following the drama of limited supplies of the MPC One, Live Mkii, etc. and have been waiting to pull the trigger. This would be my first MPC. I understand the differences between the current Live and One. The MKii version seems to have the same buttons as the One now, plus battery, more inputs, possible speaker, etc. My questions are; would you wait for the new version of the Live or buy a One, and do you think the pads on the new Live will be the same on the One?

Thanks for your help...

Yeah this is insulting. They don't even have the One fully released yet (Canada is still waiting) and then this leaks? That's a yikes from me dawg. As someone new, the only thing that kept me from buying a Live vs. the One was that the live was an older device.

Has this definitely got a battery?

In your experience MPC-Tutor, what do you think the likelihood is of Akai removing the one defining feature of the MPC Live and replacing it with a feature that no one publically asked for? Just curious...

This cannot be the Live 2! It looks the same. Is it just gonna have more ram?
