BigDrew wrote:Hi all....my first post on this forum. I've been following the drama of limited supplies of the MPC One, Live Mkii, etc. and have been waiting to pull the trigger. This would be my first MPC. I understand the differences between the current Live and One. The MKii version seems to have the same buttons as the One now, plus battery, more inputs, possible speaker, etc. My questions are; would you wait for the new version of the Live or buy a One, and do you think the pads on the new Live will be the same on the One?

Thanks for your help...

For sure it's going to be the MKii, for portable use. As I already own the X.

Looks nice.
Is it true?

Akai's like: the stumulus checks have arrived, PUT MKII UP FOR SALE!!!

...that stupid speaker...

I'm gonna wait to see what the next incarnation is... Or switch to a daw unless the specs are unbelievable.

...that stuuuuupid speaker! :x

I have the x and the force and thinking about a one. I've always hated the layout of the live and would never usually consider buying it but if there are keys and a speaker on it, Im buying it and taking it everywhere with me. I'll be the one musically regaling all the fellow poopers in the restroom of your favorite discount megastore.

So same cpu and Ram, just more buttons for modes and a speaker.
Looks nice but not many reasons to upgrade from current Mpc Live.
Just a redesign.
And that speaker.
I wonder what they mean with "Monitor" speakers.
That should be a monitor speaker?
It sounds a bit weird.
