El Capitan 10.11.6 - gear and software

Hi, I've got the mpc2000 which i will be using for pretty much all programming etc
I used to have a PC with Cubase SX (Windows XP) and now i have a Mac with El Capitan (10.11.6) which I was given! But I'm really struggling to find software for it!! Cubase or Pro Tools.

Does anyone have or know of a place to get a version of one of these?? I just mess around at home for fun with this stuff so i cant afford to pay the crazy prices for softwares

look up open source music software. There's a lot of free stuff out there.

Or try eBay and see if you can buy a license for older software... but I'd be concerned about it being a scam myself... or not being able to get software or license updates in the future.

I'd look into Reaper if I was you. Great daw for a great price (around 60 bucks if i remember correct)
