How can i delete the Factory Content? (MPC Live)

General wisdom on the forums is to not use the internal storage. I suspect it is more due to using up all of the space rather than deleting it... but there are reports of issues after deleting the content too so *shrug*.

I agree, the internal storage should just be locked... but... then the marketing on the device would be wrong... I am sure there are ways they could work around this issue technically... but there doesn't seem to be interest to protect users from messing up the device.

Go Ahead and Delete it.....You'll Be Back, asking for the Files....in about 3 to 4 weeks.

My Suggestion would be to leave it alone. The Internal Storage is too fragile in my opinion. You cant even access it from outside the unit.

SD Cards and SSD Drives are Dirt Cheap right about now.

the point is that many customers need a restoration file or Akai lock that file to avoid edit or delete. But most of all, AKAI must make a formal apology for causing this confusing

but they sent me file for mpc live,, not MPC ONE, even though i absolutely asked and mentioned A FILE FOR MPC ONE....

You should have bought an MPC Live...

Anyway, it has been discussed at length on this forum for years - don't **** with the Factory Content on this new generation of MPC's. Full stop.

As of right now...there really isn't a ZIP file for the One. At least i havent seen one.

I'm surprised nobody with a One has made a backup of the internal memory yet. Or they have... but don't want to have issues with distributing it.

Exactly. That file is proprietary internal Akai property, it is NOT yours or mine to be shared and its why Tutor pulls those links immediately when posted. The file DOESN'T exist as far as we're concerned, we're not supposed to have it, know about it, or use it, unless you are given that right by its owner, Akai. Im pretty sure when they used to send that out, it came with a disclaimer that you are not to be distributing it to anyone, anywhere. Which obviously someone didn't pay attention to, so now you get to send your MPC to a service center because they cant trust people not to give out their internal support tools anymore.

DJsFury - great job with the support rep there. Thats the way you get your problems solved (and how you get us tech support folks to not answer your number when it pops up repeatedly on the caller ID at the Helpdesk).
