WTF! No flat notes? Can you do sharp notes?

Akai is buggin

Eightysix69 wrote:LoL! Believe this sh*t! When in software mode, in pad map edit, there is no option for flat notes! Not in any of the chromatic modes or classic mode! So if you're trying to assign a flat note to a pad, you're f**ked! Absolute garbage, so disappointed man. I literally may just have to go back to using Ableton only and get an Octatrack. This level of bugs is comical.

Sorry for the *, but given how litigious people are these days, better safe than sorry. Rather people think I said f**t than f**t if you know what I mean.

You didn't hear? K**y P***y has copyrighted f**t notes. If you play a f**t note now you have to pay royalties, that's why you only see s***p notes on A**i gear, so that you don't get sued. They are doing this to protect us all.

Do you have a factual link to K**y copyrighting A flat note? :hmmm: :-:smoker:

There really needs to be a sticky or something, warning people about upgrading to 2.8. Like “upgrade risky”, or “best to wait to fixes”.

The number of people installing 2.8 and immediately noticing the issues is unfortunate.

no need to get over emotional.. we're just here trying to help. There are more options

- you can just sync the TR's and program in the step sequencer on them. They got a fantastic sequencer.
- or, if you use ableton in any case for mixdown, you could make a drumrack, throw an ext inst per pad on it and then via midi pitch (also per pad) you can search for the sound you want per pad. Drag this drumrack to your user folder so you can instantly access it if needed.

2.7 = mostly cool imo.

2.7.x = many reported crashes.

2.8 = mostly cool imo.

2.8.x = many reported crashes.

All of them had bugs.
I’m just speaking on crashes w/o getting into particulars.

This kind of information is great for others to see.

2.6 = all good here, 0 crashes, 0 noticable bugs

2.8* = bug city, 2 crashes, system reset & still bug city but 0 crashes... *all because I wanted that new time stretch :lol:

It is noticeably better but still not that great. Multi-midi was a big deal for a lot of people so thats a positive even if I dont use it. I'd rather not have all the bugs, so no, it hasnt been worth it :lol:

I only just got a live about a month ago. The last brand new one in Australia as far as I know. Jumped ship from ten years of JJOS and updated as soon as I opened it, not thinking. Is this all specifically software related, as in the MPC Live 2 has the same issues? Cheers.

2.8.1 - you can do flat *and* sharp notes.

Also, I had the same issue and worked around it in controller mode.
