MPC Project Failed to Load (External Flash Drive)

I keep getting this error (MPC Project Failed to Load) every time I try opening a project file from my external flash drive.

The issue started after multiple times trying to export a song within the song mode window. I wanted the export to separate each program track. I ended up canceling the upload a few times because the export loading bar stopped at probably 15%. Once I did that, the screen would freeze and my flash drive would continue to run. I then held the off button to restart my MPC and it said, having improper shutdowns may cause a loss of files or whatever. Can't remember the exact words. Did I totally mess up my project file by doing that? Will I be able to ever open it up again? Is 2020 really gonna do me like this? haha

Alright, update: The file I'm trying to open is a xpj. file and I can't see all of its components inside the MPC. I can only see them when I plug the flash into my computer.

On the far right of the browser you will see an 'MPC' icon, this shows/hides hidden files. Tap this and the 'projectData folders for your projects will be visible. This contains all the resources for each project.

The idea of putting all the pieces together doesn’t sound like a bad idea but putting it into action sounds like an annoying process. I’d rather use that energy to start a new track. It’s just a bit unfortunate that had to happen. The only thing I can take away from this experience is a lesson learned. Im gonna have to try that new saving technique and saving the file to multiple places. For example, save the file to my flash drive and then to my SD card. Thanks for the tip
