"Funny enough, "fix the platform" is pretty ambiguous. That phrase is going to mean different things to different people..."

*sigh* It means fix the bugs & stabalize the platform... (especially before adding features that are causing more bugs, a la 2.8, a la multi midi mode)
Done arguing just to argue, don't care!

That’s it, plain and simple. No matter who interprets/equates whatever else to whatever else.

Yea I'm just not seeing these bugs, but I am empathetic to those that are. I've produced at least one beat every day since June 16th when I got it. I mainly use Roland Fantom for sounds, but use 1 shots and keygroups a lot. I have beats that just use F9 instruments, Tube Synth, electric. I do sample beats every now and then. I used all the built in effects, as I like to get as close as I can on the MPC Live before exporting.

I've run into 2 things

1. Using the q link to move the transport (to edit midi) while it's playing and I have a bunch of sounds playing from my Fantom. It locked up once.
2. It booted up once and never quite completed. Just restarted it.

That's it. I'm not afraid to say it and jinx myself because I've put this thing through a lot and I understand software. If it's worked this long it's not all the sudden going to stop working, unless an update comes. So I'm not sure what's happening here. Could people be using the Live for extracurricular activities?

I'm a software developer and it would be hard to explain the huge discrepancies. Although this is way more complex than web development I'll admit. It would be hard to write software where it works for a lot of people but literally doesn't for some. It would be some kind of crazy state and path that a lot of people took to get there. Which wouldn't make sense. Maybe a few people took this crazy path but the majority? Only thing I can think is it's more hardware related. It might also be confirmation bias where it seems like it's a lot of people having issues because we're on a forum, where as most people don't visit the forum if they don't have issues.

See im Old School...

I prefer keeping the Plug-Ins limited to the 3 Available. Keeping the Real Estate to a Minimum. Maybe having the option of "Hot Swappable Plug-Ins" Available. You dont like the Electric Piano Plug, Swap it with another one.

I prefer Keeping my VSTi's Separate on the DAW of my choice. Using an Midi/Audio Interface to trigger the Libraries of VSTi's. Its like having an Unlimited Set of Rackmount Sound Modules at the ready to be Sampled into your Project. No Performance Issues, RAM issues, etc

Nothing stopping my show (I dont have one :) ) but I have had a noticable amount of bugs since updating from 2.6. That being said, I am FOR the new synths, just would like a stable base for everyones sake!

Everyone's mileage will vary!

I would LOVE this option. Electric is one of the plugins that I rarely - almost never use.

Same. I don’t use any of them. I’d definitely use Drum Synth though...

If they'd have even added 3, it would still be 20x less (!) than I have on my computer, so I see no problem with still having a "minimum real estate" and 6 plugins or so ;)

I updated my Force. A little Learning Curve, but it makes it feel like a DAW like environment
