They could redesign it so if you chose the "Elastique Pro (Best Sound)" option, the audio is warped/rendered in the lower quality "MPC" setting during playback as a realtime "preview", while rendering the warped audio in high quality in the background - and fading the high quality audio back in when it's done rendering. The MPC's multi-core CPU could surely handle an operation like this in the background. Hell, Propellerhead Reason was doing this almost 10 years ago with Record. The technology is there, for sure.
Yeah this is how it should have been done from the beginning.
