I believe The Live/X has evolved heavily since 2017. I remember when it had a bug where it would take 5 minutes to Turn on!!! Oooo I hated that lol.
This how i know they've evolved. I loaded version 2.2.....Oooo Wee....They've added Hella Shit

My Suggestion for Akai would be to release Seperate Versions.

A Live Midi Implementation Version ver..3.0.xx
A Standalone Basic Beat Making Version ver..4.0.xx
A Software Controller Version ver..5.0.xx

etc etc...

I know that would be very Cumbersome tho!

Like lot of people I've filed an issue to Akai support on 2.8, the European support replied that maybe it would be in future release so I waited for 2.9 to come up patiently, but it's still not providing pad playing on a muted track, I use it with mpc touch and I think I'll finally switch to Native Instrument as Akai doesn't seem to care about customer feedback.

This is really annoying as the muted behavior is also depending on the mute automation so for example you cannot play any thing in overdub on a muted part of a sound.
Lot of people complained about this, what avaisdid was to remove their official customer forum (getstatifaction) as they saw more and more people where angry.

I really suggest everybody on this forum to send a request to Akai's forum so that they fix those kind of annoying things, the force of the number could probably work.

my mpc touch is my 4th mpc but most probably the last one.
