Transferring files from old MPCs to MPC One.

Hi. I've recently bought an MPC One and want to transfer my beats off the MPC2500 to it. Is there an easy guide anywhere for anyone who isn't that technical and uses machines in standalone mode? Had a look around on this forum and youtube but can't find anything.

Is it also possible to transfer beats to the MPC one from an old MPC 2000XL?

From the 2500 you'll just need a CF to USB card reader (or put 2500 in USB Drive mode) and you can load stuff. If you used JJOS though be aware that it'll sort of work, but some stuff won't be mapped properly because JJOS is not supported by Akai. That said... you can get programs and sequences moved over... but some automation, filters, fx, etc... don't come over... so if you're going to do it, make sure you use the 2500 for reference so you can tweak settings as necessary. It works, but not exactly a 1:1 match.

Just load the PRJ and you should be fine, especially Akai OS or free JJOS. You'll have to re-apply FX and tweak envelopes and filters etc, but use it as an opportunity to re-visit and improve your old beats
