I JUST GOT A MOTIF RACK FOR MY MPC2000XL. THE PROBLEM THAT I AM HAVING IS WHEN I AM RECORDING A SEQUENCE AND I MAKE ONE TRACK I CANNOT ADD ANOTHER TRACK BECAUSE WHEN I AM BROWSING THROUGH THE SOUNDS THE FIRST TRACK I RECORDED CHANGES LEAVING ME NO WAY TO ADD ANOTHER TRACK WITH A DIFFERENT SOUND. i KNOW I HAVE TO CHANGE THE CHANNELS ON BOTH THE RACK AND MPC. AS I DO THIS I STILL GET THE SAME RESAULTS. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE ABLE TO RECORD DIFFERENT TRACKS FOR A SEQUENCE.

You bought a rack for the MPC?!? Why didn't you just get the board, or do you already have another controller? I mean there are some good sounds in there for the MPC but if you're buying a Motif, you might as well have a board to control some of the melodic stuff..

Ok, Puertorock, I have to regulate on these punks from time to time...Now, you have to initialize a multi setup. I might confuse you so go to this website for further explanation..It's www.motifator.com. But.....
I'm going to give it a shot anyways...First, select the first multi, then push the Utility button and page foward to the right till you see the "Initialize" screen. From there, hit the shift and enter button 1, 2, 3 times and this will allow you to use all 16 channels. Keep it in Multi, not voice and make sure you save any changes before moving to the next channel on that particular Multi. Sounds confusing at first but you'll understand it in no time.
