Feels like it’s Crimson Red (don’t like Crimson red). Not regular Red.

Fave is Gym Red.

If they really wanted to get down with the hip hop community, they should make that shit Krylon Cherry Red or Burgundy! Best reds for bombs, not that clown red Banner Red they used to make. That shit looked terrible on curbs and walls hah.

No Face, No Case! I used to be out for FAME but now I'm just Benching. Safer and No legal issues. :smoker:
Still not sure I would buy the RED MPC live II or a MPC LIVE II at all. Speakers and Battery replacement is imminent.

Yeah man getting busted for graf is not worth it nowadays. Our crew stretched all the way from the Inland Empire out to LA itself. We couldn't do shit without 20 cops watching us everywhere we went hah. Way back in 1991 or so, we had a big battle with a crew from Fontana, the freeway overpasses here got so **** up all our tagging crews made a whole edition of the local paper. Right after that is when all the gangsters got pissed and started showing up at our meetings, all the writers started carrying guns and went from raver gear to white shirts and khakis. Graffiti became a felony here in LA, and if you were underage and got busted, your parents got handed the bill. I still see my old crew hit up around here, but its none of us anymore. Bunch of youngsters that took over years ago and it aint even about the art or getting your name up anymore. Just straight up criminal shit.

What ever happened to Krylon anyways? It was all about that and Rustoleum (the chrome was the shit on telephone poles hah) 30 years ago. I dont even recognize any of the colors anymore when I see em at Home Depot except good old Regal Blue. We would've killed to have a brand like Molotow around in the early 90s! They make all the colors you can go straight from your black book and Design marker collection to the wall and get it just about 100%!

Montana, Liquitex, MTN, Loop. It seems that Krylon and Rust are for racking. The Tag banging hurt the culture for sure and the $400 + in damages is considered felony vandalism. I tell heads all the time, paint on canvas, legal walls, shoes, t-shirts. But don't use your tag name, because they'll get you.

These company who cater to the BOOM BAP, should hire these guys to make custom skin art for the drum machines.

Man I know I would put down money to have somebody from MSK or AWR in LA do a skin for mine! I still follow a few of the New York OGs on instagram, Duster and Seen are both still up and running (Duster has a killer weed grow going on the east coast too!), those would be classics right there!
Damn I didn't even think of that, I should hit up RISK here and see if he'll do one for me. Probably going to be expensive as **** though the guy was a legend when I started at the end of the 80s, now he's like god status in LA haha!

100%

Best would be to have one of his designed printed on blank overlays, with the button functions on them. They would be a popular item. However for a custom paint job, it would cost more than the machine. I'll try hitting up OG Abel and Mister Cartoon as well.

People forget where this culture comes from: do U; B original
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pueblo_Del_Rio

My 50+ year old daytime boss had a custom car mod shop by the “pueblo projects” [eastside LA] back in 88 & everything was done custom. The hustlers & bosses were not buying them VW bugs, benzes and chevy's from the dealer like that, they were buying USED & taking it to a “local professional” & adding speakers / wheels / stash boxes / ???

https://lowriderlifemagazine.com/

I believe the name of his shop was KUSTOMZ. It was so cracking that the local police practically shut it down [ beware the RICO] right after they got their first feature in LOWRIDER MAG.

1-2xs a year, I see a custom MPC on ebay/reverb that I just want to buy b/c I can tell some1 put in MAJOR work on it. I remember 1 time guitar center or sam ash had the MPC that johny J has used for almost a decade. If I had the $$$, I would’ve copped it.

Yea I am almost tempted at having Forat repaint my spare 2000xl. I have an idea and some sketches of what to do, but I need Forat to fix my 60 II first.
