Buying used.

Hey guys. I'm new here but I come from using MPCs exclusively in the late '90s to mid-2000s. My question is this. I'm looking into buying a used MPC Ren controller but was wondering about weird software/ license restrictions that NI makes consumers go through. Thanks, guys. Any info would be helpful.

Getting through to Akai customer service rep is currently a horrible experience.

The software is currrently on sale for $99 through Akai as a fall back.
