I almost freaked out when this happened with my new MPC One. I had a Sabrent un- powered hub laying around, I plugged it into my MPC One, plugged a Bass Station 2 and Roland JD-XI into the hub ... it worked great! I had MIDI flowing in and out of the MPC - flawless.

Until I powered the MPC down for the night, then tried to power it back up to try one more thing - no power. And the MPC One wouldn't power up until I took the hub out.

Akai tech support said the MPC One would only work with powered "high quality" hubs. Even though I've seen a review on youtube with someone using an un-powered hub.

Anybody else have this problem? Or could you recommend a good "powered" USB hub?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Lampdog. Had you read my post you would know that I already knew about the "high quality" powered recommendation from Akai. And did you have an answer to my asking if anyone could recommend a good "powered" hub? Or did you just want to scold me and tell me what I already knew?

Thanks.
