Brand new to the MPC - how do I automate EQ on/off?

Hi everyone - I'm really new to the MPC world so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've laid out my first beat and I have an 8 bar hook and 16 bar verse set up - however for the verse I would like my sample chops to have the highs cut out. I've figured out how to set up an AIR Kill EQ which gives me the desired effect however I just don't know how to apply it to this 16 bar section alone and no where else on the track. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you

I would either Copy the Sample Chops to another Pad(s)....Then Have one set Filtered and the other Unfiltered....Then adjust the 8Bar sequence to the Duplicate pads..... Or....
