Micro Korg Mini Synth?

Hi does anyone know if the Micro Korg Mini Synth can be used with the Akai MPC 2000xl, if so should I invest in one? Im getting frustrated with not having sounds for my 2000xl....... heres the website for the synth thanks http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=microKORG

you can sample heaps of blips and percussive squeaks into your sampler for new sounds, as well as play sequence's fron the mpc.

There is no single hardware midi synth or module that won't work with the MPC. You don't need to worry about this possibilty. Even something really old that doesn't have midi can still be sampled into the MPC, or you can probably find some unit that syncs an older connection system to midi.

The microkorg can be used with any mpc... the question you should be asking is if you want to use it or not. It's definitely compatible. You should look at the Alesis Micron... it's the same price as the microkorg, but the micron is 8 voice whereas the microkorg is monophonic.

The MicroKorg is actually polyphonic. Certain preset patches are programmed as mono though.
I just sold mine two days ago. I didn't love it. It's ok. Most of the presets are cheesy, and it's a slight pain to program because it doesn't have knobs for each parameter - it has 5 knobs which you use for everything. For the roughly the same price I'd rather get a Juno or a Poly6 or something like that - real analog.

The best thing about the MicroKorg though is the Vocoder. Buy it for that.

I think a keyboard could always be useful

You could get a used MS2000 for the price people are sellin the microkorg for.
