How to trim a bars on MPC One

So I made a nice melody that I want to look but the melody is only at 3.5 bars. And the bars is set at 4. If I bring the bar to 3, then I will lose some of my melody and if I keep it at 4 bars then there will be some space in between my melodies.

Is there a way to trim down a bar so its even smaller so I can just the melody?

1. Set the Sequence length to 4 bars.
2. Sequence > Pecil icon > INSERT BARS > TIME-SIG=2/4 & BEFORE-BAR=4 > DO IT.
3. Set the Sequence length to 4 bars again.

Not gonna lie thats kind of confusing

It just inserts 1 bar in 2/4 time after the third bar. This makes the sequence length to be 3.5 bars.

Its just step 2 gets me confused. I already have the melody. I dont get what you mean with step 2

Create a new sequence, do the steps 1~3, and copy/paste the melody.

I say Time Stretch the Melody a Tad Bit to Run 4 Bars.
