Sound distorts when doubling bars

Any ideas on what would cause clipping when doubling the length of a sequence?

I found there was a previous sequence that ran 32 bars, but when deleting all that note date, there is still major clipping when doubling the new 4 bar sequence to 8. How can the clipping issue be eradicated in this situation?

what is clipping exactly? the master? The track? what instrument? drum program? plugin? You're problem is too vague to give a diagnosis. Create a new brand sequence and see if the problem still exists, if not, then there is a problem with the sequence that clips. A video or an audio clip of the problem would also help.

Good questions. It was the bass track. I cured it by deleting the clipping bars and copy-pasting the first four bars. Thanks for your response.
