3 Things

All I need to shut up and use the LiveII as my forever device.

1. Arranger Mode… I assume this is coming. Force got it. Roland had it on the MV in 2007… still waiting here
2. Tempo Track. I know this has been requested. I’m pretty sure it was present in previous MPCs. It is important. It is glaringly absent.
3. This one is more of a wish list and there may already be a way to accomplish - Poly track to cv split. What is the easiest way to split a (4-voice) poly sequence to the cv outs?

First post, sorry if I made anyone angry or missed a search or any of that. Love my MPC, but feel like it should be more capable

I am not convinced that we'll be seeing arranger mode in an MPC, not all features from the Force come to the MPC, nor vice versa. I think Akai have to be careful, it must be very tempting to port every cool feature across both platforms, but eventually people will wonder why they have so many different products effectively doing the same thing.

Obviously it makes sense to share the same plugins etc, but I believe the underlying architecture of the MPC would make an arranger mode very hard to implement. The MPC will probably always be 'song mode based', will the Force arranger based. Two different products, two different ways of building compositions. Otherwise, why not just give the Force song mode and all the other cool MPC-only features, and call it a day on the MPC Line.

split (MIDI) track to spread over multiple CV tracks :

The Split Events function divides note events to create
new rhythms and patterns.
To select the how many events to create, use the
Into slider. Select 2 to 32 events.
To apply the split to selected events, tap the Only
selected events field. Leave this unchecked to split all
note events in the track.

afterwards just change MIDI to CV track

or you could set the CV track to CV drum type, then assign on or more (specific) notes to specific CV outs

Don't sleep on song mode. Its very flexible to arrange then convert song to sequence. You can the tweak the converted sequence to your heart's desire. IF you like you can cut it up to multiple sequences after tweaking then rearrange sequences. It works really well though it seems a bit clunky at first. Once you really get the hang of it, it is the bees knees. I do think arranger mode is better but you can achieve most of its functionality by simply converting song into a sequence.

I'm beginning to suspect that you are correct. So many MPC-heads favor the existing workflow, that I doubt offering Arranger (as an only option) would make many of those users happy. And allowing both "classic workflow" as well as Arranger (as it is on Force) at the same time? That would be a helluva lot of re-writing/work. I will say that if the MPC Key 61 does end up being a real product, the absence of a proper Arranger will be a glaring omission, though. So...
