How can I recreate this effect that wont fit in the subject

So you know how pitching samples on the SP-1200 up and down changes the amount of "lo-fi" on the samples? Plugins like SP950 (best SP-1200 simulator VST, don't @ me) do that job wonderfully, but only for a set "pitch".

Now, the effect I'm talking about is demonstrated wonderfully in songs like Machine Gun Funk by The Notorious B.I.G., where, in this case, Easy Mo Bee uses the SP-1200 multilevel pitch mode to pitch the main sample down mid-sequence, which as you might imagine introduces different levels of, for lack of a better term, lo-fi-ness.

Obviously, I could either use multiple SP950s on different pads with the same sample but different pitches, but that's a massive pain to do something obsolete hardware does automatically, plus that adds mad latency especially if you're using the SP950 VST like I am, or I could use automation to change the pitch slider in the plugin but that's also a massive pain.

So I'm wondering, being that I'm a 14-year-old young'n who's been using MPCs for almost exactly a year, is there a better, more efficient way of doing this?

Try Battery 4 sp1200 mode. FX plug-ins would not be able to simulate the artifacts caused by re-pitching. It must be simulated in the sample playback engine.

How compatible is Battery 4 with the MPC workflow? I despise using a mouse and keyboard when I'm using my MPC, and I don't know if I'm willing to sacrifice the beauty of the MPC sampler for a vst.

Alas, I am one of those unfortunate people who came to MPCs from FL Studio.

Basically, re-pitching artifacts (aliasing noises) cannot be simulated in MPC standalone.

There's a Bunch of Bit Reducing Effects in the Live/X (Decimator, Resampler fx)

I've found that using the Low 8 filter can bring out some of the aliasing. The bit reducing fx in MPC are not amazing, but in the drum fx page, you can adjust each pad with slightly diff amounts of lo-fi ness.
