I think it's because it's not considered to be an flagship model. It has less Q-Linkes and I bet also less inputs and outputs, no tilt screen smaller pads and so on.

yep. It still shows in a google search. Pretty sure this will be released next week.
Interesting they are calling a "synthesizer" and not a workstation. Also marketing it at a a synth that you can record vocals is not a inspiring a lot of confidence
Sounds like they are marketing it towards the mainstream modern songwriter. Filled with a bunch of corny "modern sounding" sound sets is my guess. Probably going to be missing a bunch of bread and butter sounds like real bass guitar, horns, etc.

A little light on the I/O side to be called a "center piece" for production imo.
Even though you can always plug a class compliant audio interface and some MIDI merger box etc, but eh..
But good enough for someone not having much gear to deal with.

Theres always going to be something to complain but damn, they couldnt fit a program edit button? That alone speeds things up on the One significantly.
Looks cute tho.

Phantom power?
Definitely going to be pushing this as all in one singer/songwriter production studio. Their version of Roland verselab

Serious question, how many people here use the CV/Gate outs of their MPC frequently? I have a few CV synths, but they also support MIDI, so I hardly do.
How many of you prefer CV/Gate outputs over more audio inputs and outputs?
I'm sorry, but I would prefer more inputs in order not to have to use a mixer that often. As for more AUXILIARY outputs, well in a live situation you can plug your device directly into the sound engineer's console and let him deal with levels... And while the MPC supports external audio soundcards, it comes with at a cost (more latency).

How do I get the MPC Software to show this screen? What is this Piano with 7 circular parameters?

Damn... Not that I care because I'm not going to buy it, but it doesn't even have 6 outputs? I was expecting 8 for some reason. The only reason I'm saying damn is because I want to see 8 Outputs more often on newer gear.

That is a picture of a Fender Rhodes electric piano. This leads me to believe there is probably a very nice and authentic sounding multisampled Rhodes soundset like what is found in most all of today's keyboard workstations.
On the otherhand, it could be a physical model of a Rhodes piano similar to what you would find in a Korg Kronos or Nautilus. Akai has their own version of a modeled electric piano in the MPC through their plugin called "Electric." I feel like "Electric" is Akai's weakest plugin because it just doesn't sound like a very convincing or realistic sounding Rhodes or Wurlitzer to me. I think it sounds fake, which is why I rarely use it if ever. Perhaps Akai revamped their "Electric" plugin or replaced it altogether with a far better sounding multisampleset or physical model of the Rhodes and Wurlitzer in this new MPC keyboard. That's what I'm hoping. I'm also hoping this would come to the rest of the MPC line in a future update as well. It definitely looks interesting.
Fingers crossed!!!!!
