Please make a Z8 Plugin, so I can retire my 4000 :)

LOL now THAT one I would buy..

Dont worry folks.. AIR/Akai are on the same trip Plugin Alliance, Waves and everybody else is.. Give it a month and they'll start having super sales where you can get these for $20 a piece just like all the rest of their plugins they regularly whore out on sale.

I understand why people who don’t fully work in standalone mode would laugh at spending that much on plugins at this quality

But in the context of a standalone mpc having a full rompler with quality sounds, it’s worth it (if the sounds are usable which looking at some reviews fabric seems much better than hype)

Shit I’d pay for good tape emulation and spectrum analyzers too

The x is the flagship sampler.. this things main selling point is the keys and synth's.. they all are better at certain things and you bought the best at sampling workstation.. nothing else has a tilt screen, 16 q links with a oled each!, bigger screen, most inputs and outputs by a huge margin.. Now they owe you free synth's too?
What if they didn't offer these for sale at all? Just left them as a feature of the keys? At least we are able to even get them.. that use pretty baller just that.. They didn't have to and the plug ins are a feature of the keys..

That's the thing ... they're serviceable, not good.

I work in two worlds - a live gig where everything is done in the Live and a recording gig where everything is done in Logic.

The plugins on the Live I would never open it they were in Logic. I'm just glad our group has a bunch of good hardware to fill in the gaps.

The Odyssey plug-in is the best of the bunch, the rest ... well they sound like early 00s plugins.

And if the FM one has more than 4 note polyphony on the Live lineup I'll be inclined to believe they're intentionally hampered.
So you want a $300 discount on their latest software plugins because the hardware you bought 3 years ago is currently $300 more expensive that some completely different hardware they only just released (three years later)? My head is spinning.
I don’t expect it. But it would be nice. Once can dream. What should have happened is the key 61 should’ve cost more. I’m guessing the keybed lives up to the cheap price. TT_Lab said/explained it best. The Keys 61 is a $1200 device with $700 in free software. Probably built to those cheaper component specs.

If I were to purchase any of these new plugins are they strictly tied to one MPC?

I own both an MPC X for the studio and an MPC One that I like to take on the go with me. Please tell me I wouldn't have to double purchase them in order to use them on both units.

I don't plan on getting them anytime soon, gonna wait for a sale, but anyone that could shine some light on my question would be much appreciated.

No, you don't have to double purchase.
In mpc key 61 (after you register it) you can download ie. fabric +others and get them installed into your X.

I strongly advise you FOLLOW the instructions in your account.
