Thanks!

Does the Hakai support Global Midi Mapping?
Can you also hack the Synth Skins and files?

I’ve customized 2.10 for my midi controller, plus I’ve created many of my own plugin skins with larger & higher contrast colors. Would hate to lose that.

It should support global midi mapping. after your first run the settings file will be on your memory card. edit that save it then reinsert the card and reboot the unit so the settings take effect.

Your synth content is stored where? if its in /usr/share/Akai/Synths copy it to Synths on the root of an sd or usb card before updating and you'll keep your artwork. If your synth content is on usb or sd already, it will be fine.

Great!

So Hakai has the settings file on the SD card rather than on the internal drive? (I have an MPC One and the settings file is somewhere like /usr/share/Akai/midilearn)

Also, does the Hakai OS refer to files on the SD card in real-time (while running) for all synths the way that Akai 2.10 does for the new synths? (Hype, mellotron, odyssey, solina) Or will it pull the files from a folder named Synths off the SD card when installing the Hakai OS and write those files to the internal storage? (I’m on MPC One, so not internal HD)

Thanks so much!

It wont tamper with anything internal-drive-wise If your synths are on the sd it will find them there. if they are on your internal it will find them there. (by akais design)

As far as I know force doesnt support those brand new synths so i doubt those will work for it currently. Hype mollotron odyssey solina etc all work fine.
