So I'm an unfortunate soul using the touch so I can't use the 2.10 down load trick I've heard about on here for the stand alone machines does anyone have a Mac version of the installer or know of a way I can get the 2.10 desktop version. I can't work with these clicks on my kicks in the drum programs totally kills any type of creativity. I swear ever since making the switch to software Akai has single handedly killed my hobby for me bout to just learn logic pro at this point FML ‍♂️

I ran into a very similar issue routing midi via USB channels from my NDLR through the MPC to various synths. Certain parts would only play if others were stopped. I tried the same tests using MIDI cables instead of USB, and none of the NDLR channels worked.

I downgraded, and now everything is routing correctly. Hope they fix this soon, as I was really excited about the probability and ratchet functionality. Please let me know if I should provide any additional details.

radzmar wrote:Hi, I'm facing a weird behavior with 2.11.1 . Here's my setup:
On MPC One there are 3 tracks. All of them receiving midi from a Digitone Keys connected via an USB-Hub (Overhub).
Track 1 receiving on channel 5 and sending it on channel 5 to a Hydrasynth.
Track 2 and 3 receiving on channel 7 and 8 and playing an individual instance of the Hype plugin.

The thing is, track 2 is only playing the Hype as long there is no incoming midi on track one. The moment the MPC receiving midi on channel 5, the playing of track 2 stops.
In the midi monitor I can see that midi messages are still received on channel 5, 7 and 8, so I guess the problem lays within the MPC.

Any ideas?

After I did a downgrade to 2.10.1 everything is working as expected. All midi tracks now playing simultaniously. So for me 2.11.2 isn't usefull at all. Maybe 2.11.3 will be …

Do any of you have any connections with the people at Akai? Is there any kind of timetable that they are making to resolve some of the new bugs? I submitted a tech support ticket, and they have NEVER responded at all. All I got was an email that says the following:

"We have received your request and a ticket has been created.
A support representative will be reviewing your request and will send you a response asap."

That was 14 days ago. I don't know what they consider "ASAP".

Hah got the same response when I submitted one the day the firmware was released (still haven't heard back either). Man, at our help desk, the SLA is 48 hours. You dont respond to a ticket by then, that's your job heh. But I guess thats why we get the ratings for customer service we do and Akai isn't even on the map for it..

I feel like that automated response if just an attempt to butter up the masses.
I’ve sent 3 and haven’t heard from anyone in more than a year.

MPC hardware 2.11.2
new empty project, one drmsynth multi loaded

Channel 6 is always the tom sound and it‘s not possible to change it to any other instrument.the instrument selction menu is now just a“mix“ window with a long list of % numbers

if you open a set where you changed the tom to something different: it will shows the name and graphics (i.e“kick“) but sound and edit functions is still the tom.

Easy to reproduce,I did sent this to akai as well.

There’s a workaround for this, if you place the drumsynth content/ preset folders in the sdcard/synth folder the system picks these up instead of the bugged internal files.
You can also custom skin the drum synth with these files , and mess with the parameters and ranges too.
As it’s on the sd card you can’t break anything .

Rule #1 folks. Always archive your older installers and don't get rid of them until you know for a fact the newest one is good. You never know when Akai is going to disappear one day and then you're **** with no 2.10, 2.11 or anything..

Lol I was stuck in 2.4 for the longest until I got a new Mac. Miss the 2KXL days so simpler back then never would of thought software upgrades can break something that was already working perfectly, as you can tell I’m a bit of a newb when it comes to all software producing but I will forever archive old updates after this. Thanks again bro (or gal) I appreciate you.
