New plugins… Licenses revoked?

Well. I was just about to purchase the Mini plugin, but no way in hell will I do that if it requires constant reactivation.

I had this happen.. but I don't think it is because it needs to verify anything, I think if that was true you could not use them away from the Internet, which is obviously not the case.. one they are on the unit, they are on the unit. I think the problem was for me that I was too impatient and tried doing stuff after the project loaded but I didn't wait to see if all the plug ins used on the project had loaded.. there can be a delay sometimes with the plug ins. Just because the project is loaded doesn't mean the plug ins have fully loaded yet.. and for some reason it is possible to confuse it if you start working before they are all loaded they will just not load.. I have just restarted the device and waited for them to load when this happens.

It doesn't.. I don't know why people think this. Thru have to load on to ram from a storage drive to work, it takes a couple seconds each, but sometimes it will hang and thru don't load for a little bit so it can appear thru are not activated because it hasn't read them from the drive yet.

The very first post in this thread said that a deactivation message came up several weeks after activation. That does not sound like a RAM loading issue to me.

I had that message too.. but believe what you want.. it doesn't even make sense to me, besides when first buying the plug in, most people with a mpc one are not gonna mess with a Ethernet cord, and I have had my wifi off for weeks and nothing happened.. I don't even think they could sell a product like that and call it stand alone.
Just to make sure though I well leave my wifi off until a new update comes.. but idk I could be wrong but I find it very hard to believe that.

Don't know why this random deactivation happens though.

My theory from watching it happen to me, is that it comes from a error loading the plug in content, I believe it happens when you start doing stuff before the plug ins have loaded.

I think it asks for activation if the MPC has been offline for a month. Mine was.

If online, it just checks on the background.

Had anybody with a mpc one and the plug ins not connected in a month? Lol... I'm really curious now.

Please can people state which MPC this is happening on? And if Live, is their Live always connected to the WIFI? And if the One, did they happen to have their ethernet cable pluged in.

I was thinking that when people turn on and are connected to the wifi, the MPX may auto communicate looking for updates. The if their is a miscommunication over registrations like I had activating. it would de-activate.

I was hoping the solution could be, not to stay connected to the wifi (or leave a ethernet cable in). But if you had this happen on a machine not connected to the wifi, then that kind f rules out tat hypothesis.

My MPC One is always offline, so it's a matter of time to see if it asks for activation again in 3-4 weeks.

I was considering to buy Mini D and Fabric the next black Friday, but now I'm unsure... I don't want to buy stuff that can stop working in the future.

I’m on the X (since 2019) and only used the WiFi for the first time last month to get these plugins; apart from that it’s always been off.

As a few people have said, it’s a cause for concern if there’s a stability issue around licenses. ‘Caveat Emptor’ isn’t a reasonable argument for excusing stuff not working arbitrarily…

Sent an email to the software support two days back - still no response, not even an acknowledgment
