When I get hired as an environmental artist for Digital VFX after I finish school in 6 months... You will be seeing more mpcs, sp404's and synths in games... That and graffiti... haha BTW, my teacher is working on the show/movie for Last of Us. It's actually filmed in the hometown I'm from. I always loved the environments in the first game. Still gotta play the second one...

That's pretty bad ass. One of the actual "Last of Us" showrunners (Craig Mazin) did HBO's "Chernobyl", which has to be hands down one of the best mini-series on TV in the past decade IMHO. I'm hoping he carries that magic to the TV adaptation of the game, because - let's face it - the actual game is basically just "The Walking Dead" + LGBTQ character drama. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's not exactly new. And without Johan Renck doing any directing (originally he was going to do the pilot but had to drop out), I'm sure the show will have a very different feel. Also was hoping they'd use Hildur Guðnadóttir for the score, but it looks like they're using the original game composer (Gustavo Santaolalla).

Anyway, sorry to derail - I'm just hugely excited for the TV series. And seeing an MPC-X (well, a 9-pad version probably due to copyright) in the game was awesome. :worthy:

It's a fantastic game, but it's not exactly unique. It's basically "collect crap to modify weapons, shoot zombies, go stealth and sneak around, fight various human military groups, watch cut scenes". Can get a bit redundant at times. But the re-mastered version Part 1 for the PS5 looks great, and Part 2 looks just as great.

96.7%, according to your government's latest published stats.

Sorry you find a person's sexual preference "repugnant ". Me personally, I don't care. No more than I care about a person's skin color.

But hey - MPC-X!!! :worthy:

Speakers only make sense with batteries so you can carry it and have an all in one setup.
The only features I'd like to see is fixing those god damn bugs and step record in a solid revamped step sequencer. That last one is a big miss in the MPC's toolkit imo. Especially since it existed in older MPCs… :Sigh:

As this is the 35th anniversary of the MPC surely there will be a new MPC XL to celebrate

Not yet. I am also checking the FCC DB basically every day. But so far the only new registrations within the last months with the InMusic FCC ID have been two Alto mixers.

mabey they will add an internal battery to the XL; but on the software side I would like to see a dark mode instead of the grey background I would like it to be black.
