Hello. I am using the MPC One Standalone, and I am trying to side chain my drum program to my sample program. However, when I try to use Motherducker to do this in Program Edit, nothing happens. Is it possible to sidechain across programs? If so, how does one do this?

Make sure Mother-Ducker-Input is inserted in a kick pad of the drum program and Mother-Ducker in the FX slot of the sample(keygroup?) program (not a layer).

to do what Elijah says and to properly understand the architecture it's better if you put your processors via the mixers instead of the program edit page. to access the kick of a drum program just go to menu ---> pad mixer, find the kick's pad and insert there the Mother Ducker Input effect. then go to menu--->channel mixer and locate the program you want to compress with your kick, then put the Mother Ducker effect on it. If you use multiple instances of mother ducker with different m.d. inputs, make sure each pair has a different bus number selected.

the pad mixer is the internal mixer of a drum program, the channel mixer is instead the global mixer where all programs, audio tracks, return channels and sub mixes are mixed together.
