Less is more

Switching from ableton to the force have made my music more interesting, in ableton we tend to add channel after channel and that can be a problem.
I am so happy that I have found the force and my music production have been so much better and also made me think different about how I sample and create sounds.
Anyone else that had the same experience?
I produce dark minimal Techno, whet do you produce?

I've had a similar experience.

I've used Reason almost exclusively for the last 20 years and have a solid collection of VSTs.

But I got an MPC Live after a year of mostly making music in Maschine, and I've found it all just clicks.

I also have the Air/AKAI MPC Collection, and just have not had any need in the last 2 months to even boot up my music computer.

My music is hip-hop/rnb adjacent.

I find it a bit overwhelming sometimes. But I ditched Reason when it hit 2.5 for out of the box producing. Back then I had machines which had all a specific role. These new MPCs and Force can do everything you want them to do. I actually sold most of my synths in the past two years because the force can do most things all in one box.

Great times for creative people. You can find a way to be creative in whatever way you like.

Digital has well surpassed analog these days its quite fine to work all in the box if thats your schtick. The folks who cling to analog do it cus they like the gear. you wont get a true-er or better sound from a signal being sent through a pile of circuits thats a ridiculous concept in 2023 if you want to sell off all your synths and processors and shit its really not as insane as imagined. If you work purely in digital you end up with music that's got better frequency than if you recorded your synths being washed out by your tascam's jacks analog to digital converter and your sketchy ts cables. why not just generate the signal in digital to begin with? i have crazy ideas though.

ugh my phone sucks i cant add to the last post. what i was gonna say was I still own synths and a interface and crap the interface is brand new and i never use the crap. half the time i dont even plug in a keyboard.
