But that extra magic RAM is the key to world peace and harmony and will write our songs for us!

What XL? Seriously if the XL ever gets released it cannot be that groundbreaking. No FCC record at all yet. So it must be pretty similar from a technical standpoint. And no announcement during NAMM. Yeah I know the concept of NAMM is a bit dated. But it's the time of year people wait for announcements still. Much like CES for everything else tech. Maybe the XL is our Push 3 or DukeNukem Forever heh
I have higher hopes for the new One....and have placed a pre-order for the Tracker Mini

what new thinkgs do u think will be in the mpc one mk2?

cos appart from adding a battery or maybe a tilt screen; it seems like akai got the mpc one pretty perfect from the get go.

the mpc one is defo the evolution of the mpc1000

For the One mk2 we know for sure that it will have WiFi and BT. Paired with the 4GB of RAM it sounds more like an evolution than the XL with just the 4GB and an off-white panel.
Unfortunately they did not release the front panel images. But even if it looks the same it would be fine for me. I feel way faster workflow-wise on the current One than I feel on the current X.

For me at least it feels way more like "sell the X and get the One mk2" than "sell the X and get an XL" at the moment. We'll see. At least my anticipation is higher towards the One mk2 and I am bit bored of the outlook of an XL (is the even correct English :hmmm: - sorry not native but like to get it right nonetheless so please correct me)

What if it is just a 2gb but now has a battery and wifi?

It's all speculation at this point, but I have a feeling they will be doing 4gb ram on the new machines.

As for the MPCXL, even if it is just a MPC X with better aesthetics and 4gb of ram, I'll buy it. I really want an MPC X now, but I know if I buy one, they'll announce the XL soon after lol.

I really hope when they announce either one of these new machines, they are announcing 3.0 at the same time, but again, all speculation.

I think it could be the xl will be 4gb to put it in line with the keys, but the one mk2 might just replace the one and still have 2gb. Either way we will see.

So you should buy it then. For the sake of us getting an XL

I wonder what the advantage of a 2GB variant would be if everything else is 4GB? They could use it as the entry model they maybe wanted the One to be? But I really hope they stick to the “all new models have 4GB” that we(?) hope for. It will sure make it harder for them to sell a possibly new Live mk3 (maybe) if that’ll ever come out

But they're planning on a Netflix special to unearth the burial site in 20 years!!
