Even my 23 year old EMU has a 'Find loop' feature. Doesn't always work but it tries, and sometimes comes up with some rad shit depending on the material..
The MPC's looping isn't exactly something to write home about anyways. You might as well just chop the sample into your actual loop. Once you release the key, the note stops when it hits the end of the loop. Its useless for 'sustain loops' like strings and whatnot because it wont follow through and play the end of the sample after the loop ends (unlike every other pro sampler in existance).
@UKUDO, I'm pretty sure PAD12 in sample edit is taken actually. When Im in the sample editor on my OG Live, I use Pad 9 (lit up green) if I want to hear the whole sample from start to end, and I use pad 12 (its lit up red) when I just want to 'audition' it with a Note On. I think Pad 12 may do the same thing as Pad 11, but its definitely not unassigned.
