I will do my best to explain what is going on. Note: This is an issue I am experiencing in both Standalone mode and Controller Mode.
Roland FA06 = 06 and MPC X = X
I have a 06 that I am running audio out into my X. As of right now I have it in input 1/2 because I can both hear sound and record in those inputs. I am also running a usb midi from the 06 to the X. I have 5 point cords but I couldn't get them to work so I stayed with the usb midi once it started working. I am then running audio out of the X to my Rodecaster pro 2 where I can then hear the sound in my headphones. I was able to set up MPC 2.0 and again in input 1/2 I can record and play audio in my software.
In MPC 2.0 I have my preferences to the X and I am using all line ins and line outs. I create two tracks and one has the X and one has the 06. I can record and hear everything. If I do it in standalone mode I make the two tracks again and I can hear and record everything. I will note that in the controller mode sometimes when I switch the 06 to different keyboard styles it will continue to echo for a long time and the only way I can get rid of it is to turn it off and back on but that's a problem for another day. Let's just pretend everything works as it should.
My issue is that I want to use input 1 for a mic as it needs phantom power but I can not because I can only get the 06 to work in input 1/2. When in controller mode I play my sequence and I can hear it perfectly but if I switch the inputs to 3/4 I can not hear the 06 audio any more. In the MPC 2.0 presences audio is still set for all input and all outputs so it should work. I have adjusted every knob, switch, and control that I can think of that has to do with sound. All my audio knobs are set to loud sound, I have the switches to "back" not "front" but nothing I do will allow me to hear the 06 on 3/4.
What am I doing wrong? Does any one use 3/4 and did you have to do anything special to make it work? Thank you for all of your help.
