As I wrote it above yet, both TB-03 & Model cycles support 48 khz yet. MPC needs 48K khz.
Then, it would had been working.

Just to temper expectations, there is little to no chance of 48 Khz being supported on MPC/Force for external audio cards. Akai has stated that this is due to performance limitations, and I am inclined to agree seeing as how that even at 44.1 Khz, we can barely get full 32 i/o support for the USB Class Compliant devices that do work with it. So yeah - Roland needs to support 44.1 Khz on their end, and they absolutely can do it if they wanted, seeing as how my old-ass Roland MX-1 supports 44.1 Khz on my MPC/Force - and that's not even official.

Hopefully Roland will make it happen.

Since you own the MX-1 maybe you can answer my questions=

Could you use the MX as the audio interface for the Force & connect the MC707 & TR8S5 via USB & still use the MX other inputs while having them all come in the Force as separate tracks using the insert FXs?

I'm going to buy a motu 16A and see if it works but really another $1500 for 16 ports when they just fix the 16 stereo outputs via USB or ethernet.. not sure why yes you can blame window or MAC .. but this should be a coding simple review with all saying we should buy the 3gb device..

Can the mods do a poll on what works instead of us going through 24 pages to see.. I want 16 stereo or 32 mono out from a audio interface that works unfortunately it has to be 44.1k if the the Motu 16a from motu works I can't test my 818es because I use it with my DAW...

That's supposed to be the purpose of this topic here:

viewtopic.php?t=211654

If someone wants to go through all this shit and find some interfaces that definitely work 100% for everyone, I'm happy to put that as a summary at the start of the topic. I just don't have the time to do this ATM.

Anyone still waiting for Akai to release a list of supported devices?

The list of working interfaces seems to change in each Akai software update. The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen I have was fixed at some point, and now it seems to work without glitches. But according to reports, some interfaces have stopped working in some Akai software updates, sometimes to be re-fixed in a subsequent release. You have to test the exact combination you're going to use. If it doesn't work for you, then it doesn't work for you.

Yes I agree, I don't think there is ever going to be a definitive list of devices, not unless Akai first draw up a shortlist of recommended devices and have someone thoroughly test each device before each new firmware release. This is really all on Akai, it shouldn't have to be down to customers having to purchase multiple interfaces until one eventually works (until it doesn't).

I'm 99% certain that Akai are using whatever drivers are available with the Linux kernel, as-is, because there's just too much variety to test against. To get an idea, here's a May 2021 picture from Linux driver developer Geoffrey Bennet of a set of Focusrite Scarlett boxes he had for testing the Linux device drivers. And that's not even all, there are more models - by June 2021 he had nine different models for testing.

Image

Nine devices to get just the Focusrite Scarlett support working! They all have potentially subtly different behavior, and need tweaks in the driver to get things to work for all models, and maybe also depending on whatever USB stuff is on the host computer side. AFAIK, this effort was not supported by Focusrite, it's volunteer work and donations. That's what it looks like to me. But now everybody can benefit from it, even Akai.

Oh yeah, I probably need to point out that those Focusrite boxes are supposedly "class-compliant". Yet you need model-specific tweaks. The class-compliance is a joke. What it means in practice is that Focusrite tested that the boxes work with Macs and iPads, nothing more. That's where the "Mac class-compliant" oxymoron comes from.

IMO

Nope.

I possible to list all interfaces in one poll list.
IF, an unlisted device is requested to be added to the poll, then added, the poll numbers get reset and this will happen every time something is added to the listing.

Individuals who are actually interested will search out what they want for themselves.

Now see I can respect a straight answer :o :o

Akai just needs to say he it don't work and move on to something else..

That's how my old Emagic MIDI interface works. A long time ago someone dropped a driver for it that got wrapped up with the kernel. Probably one of the old Unitor devs after Apple canned all of Emagic's hardware stuff hah. That thing was made before class compliance even existed. The serial port was great but it's USB was a pain in Win98/Windows XP, yet it works with my MPC of all things..
