I make beats on planes all the time. People work on laptops, watch movies, read books, play games… why can’t I make beats? It’s not like I’m in anybody’s way or being loud or annoying.

Anybody else remember that commercial that dre had his 3000 on a plane? Was it for St.Ides?? Or did that not happen and I’m having a Sinbad Genie movie moment lol

i personally love to work on the train, but the mpc live is a bit too big for that... the sp is the good size for me to make music on public transportation...

and this is why akai is coming with an mpc live mini later dis year

Good job the Live 2 does have a battery…..because the power in socket is its weakest link (built like a tank otherwise) The One also has an unacceptable weak headphone out jack point.easy to break and feels cheap……shame because there otherwise sturdy units.guess 3.0 cant fix that ((

Note-Maschine + has a twist and lock socket.very good idea….

Gonna join in and LMAO too, just looks corny.
I aint mad at him, tho.
Also, the beat doesn’t seem to warrant that level of head-noddery.

dudes that are actually producers for a living kinda get a bit of apss; and he probably on a private jet or in business class.

but if u a hobbyist in coach its extra cornnball ish unless u have a decrete unit, think the sp404 is probably the biggest form factor that would be passible for beatmaking in public, the mpc live or machine plus would be ultra cringe

Not really if not making it for the net, like "look at me making beats on the plane or whatever".
If you got space & aren't disturbing anyone then do you. At least Dre was in the back seat & by himself.

Agreed. I got the MPC Live 2 as a portable device....to use portably as that's the main thing that separates it from other MPC's . There's folks like me who travel a lot and this is one of my main use cases. Seems a bit pretentious to automatically see someone as "cringey" for using the devices' primary feature.

As long as you're not pulling out a camera talking about "Hey it's ya boy back again. Sorry I haven't posting for a while, my dog died & blah blah blah...but let me make a beat at the beach or w/e" you're good to go bro.
