Yeah, but to a point, there has to be a balance of free vs paid. I just don't think people will continue blindly buying every new plugin or OS feature as the novelty will soon wear off. People get jaded pretty quickly if every cool new feature is locked behind a paywall. Subscription service probably coming eventually IMO.

Up next: paid bug fixes.
Then: in-app ads.

Yes I do agree alot of the updates do present more gripes.. like class complaint usb.. which I'm surprised they didn't really address... I hope with the next release they address bug fixes..

This is probably the biggest game changer for the MPC that I can think of (and I don't say that lightly).

the feature does not work in standalone so its using ur computer cpu not the mpc one cpu

Well obviously I'm referring to the fact that it is going to work in standalone soon lol

Yeah this is definitely a great move hopefully. When it released for the hardware it address a long over due bug fixes.. which I have dealt with isn't stopping my work flow..

I wonder why the standalone implementation is delayed as its the same algorithm so why not deploy it to live

Probably because the CPU thats in it is nowhere close to what's available in a desktop unit? You are aware you're running a mobile phone inside that box right? That algorithm is going to take some serious tweaking unless you want the MPC to take a week to render your stems..

yeah, the desktop demos sound fairly impressive (maybe the YTers chose tracks they knew weren't gonna tax the software but not hearing a ton of bleed between the different stems) so I'm hopeful it's basically a 1:1 port over to standalone. and for $10 to get stem separation in the box, it's a no brainer, but will wait to see exactly how the standalone version sounds when it's that CPU handling the processing. promising though!

This is a major move that cuts a step out out of my workflow. I used to sample stems via Serato so I figured it was only a matter of time before it jumped to MPCs. I'm not a fan of the paywall for features because it can be a very slippery slope but it looks like Akai may be finding their innovation stride.

Now if they can fixed all these damn bugs, then I'll be a happy panda!

as it does 6 instruments.. I like to get my Piano's on their own. Just having "Music" put together on one track will work, but not as good as when you separate it more.

The MPC workflow improvement is key. When I use RipX Daw or Serato Sample I can do a lot more due to their overwhelming functionalities however I have to fiddle with each single stem and transfer it to MPC HW / SW manually.
