Just got the Email from Akai....basically saying (IMO) Stem it out in Controller Mode, then save it to Standalone. That's what it is huh man. I kinda figured that the Standalone Hardware can't handle that Processing Power.
I think like a MPC. A program is a tool. If the sculpture don't look right, Don't blame the chisel..

All we can do is wait... They never say anything early and then they do, it's a possible empty promise.
RipX is definitely a lot better so I will be moving onto that if I feel I want an AI.
If it comes to Standalone, then cool. Maybe I'll purchase it, but for now...

far as hardware lacking processing power; is the main bottle neck the CPU? or the lack of RAM? or both?
also would disk streaming help alleviate the bottle neck?

It will be coming out in Standalone. You don't think they already had it running on their own standalone's before they even made that announcement that it was coming to standalone later? That email was for all the fools who don't realize they can transfer a program and wav files to their standalone.
Chill.. it will come out. You might want to learn to chill.. for when it DOES make it to standalone as you'll be waiting on that processor

MPC Standalone has enough Ram to do this..
and probably has enough CPU to do it as well.. as long as you have some time...

Ram isn't a primary component in how a stem decoding model processes, it's majority CPU based.
Imagine how long your MPC, with basically the same processing power of a Roku player you use to watch Netflix on will take to stem out entire songs?

They'll dumb it down like the realtime time stretching/warping algo they use on standalone ...

I hope I'm wrong, but stems will never been in standalone for the current units. These have not enough power for making it in a aceptable time. If they release something it will not be as good as the software one.

They already said Stems will be out for standalone, so they must of tested it. If anything it will just be slower to process, but that's a 1 time thing & once its done its like a normal sample. This is not the type of feature a company like at this level would just gaslight their customers with, especially MPC users. It'll be worst than when Budweiser did that beer commercial with that Trans person.

I did this ONCE on a small sample. Afterward, avoided it like the plague.

or Transform Multiplication of two samples on the EMU E4
(basically an offline phase modulation)
