What about scale highlighting in standalone mode for the piano roll. I sometimes like to write into the piano roll and this would be a great time saver. Some of us just make music as a hobby and dont have time to learn all those scales.i know you have a keys and scales mode but it would be nice to see notes that you already used on the previous track grayed out. This is just a suggestion. Its kind of why I like FL Studios piano Roll. How much better it would be to have it in a standalone MPC live.wow

Make the suggestion but it seems easier to just use a MIDI controller with a scales mode and the problem is solved. The MPK Mini Plus or Oxygen Pro are two of others that can get you this without much fuss. You got FL Studio and MIDI controllers. Use those if they are better suited to your needs. Akai may give you what you need if enough people ask for it. That probably isn’t a priority for them so maybe not. Use what is working for you or learn some scales. There are no alternatives.
