I want to edit steps as my track is playing. I am used to elektron devices and my workflow is always to edit steps as the sequence is playing sou would love to achieve that.
The gird view doesn't seem to let us edit steps and the only way that i could find is to edit steps in Grid View > LoopEdit > F3 (View) which lets me edit a bar of my sequence. That is more then enough for me and I really love that way that it works.
The problem comes when i have my track playing and i wanna 1. enter in that f3 view edit mode, 2. exit that mode or 3. change bars (with bar buttons next to shift). For some reason the playback resets itself and my MPC goes out of sync... It feels like a very normal feature to have bar changes, enter/exit that 1 bar edit mode all quantised to the beat. If i wanna change bar, to change it only after gets to the last step. Or if I exit that view the playback to continue from same position.
Manual says at page 59: "If F6 (CLOSE) button is pressed, a window will be closed and it will play automatically from the present position. (When it closes during loop playback)" So the fact that when I close it the pattern restarts abruptly feels like a bug or some kind of setting that i have it wrong.
Can you help me with some suggestions to solve this, if for sure, there is a way of doing it. And if there is no way of doing it in LoopEdit mode how can I edit individual steps while sequencer is playing?
