vinylstyle wrote:I believe the track mutes are still per sequence. The confusion from what I can tell is that no one is explaining that the arranger is a view of the sequence. They keep showing people making a full arrangement in a single sequence. This essentially is a more direct way of doing song-to-sequence. From what I can tell, you can still have smaller sequences with their own track mutes. But you have to go through song mode, convert to sequence, to get the full arrangement of multiple sequences into a single sequence/arrangement. I wish they did some kind of hybrid solution of Maschine's scenes/arranger that saves you time doing the conversion and it would allow you to still change the order and events of the sequences.

Monotremata wrote:The sequencer is pretty much exactly the same, it just looks completely different now (and a bit confusing). The 'Arranger' is really just the 'Track View' from the MPC Software. You dont HAVE to do a whole song in one sequence. Sequences are still there, Song Mode is still there, everything in that respect works exactly as it has, you just get a new 'overview' with the Arrange screen (and the MPC 2 Track View is still there as well).

MPC-Tutor wrote:Programs have not been ditched, they still exist as an entity outside of your projects as xpm files, e.g. drum kits and keygroup instruments.
When you load a program into mpc3 it’s effectively absorbed into the target track. So there’s no program hanging around in project memory, you just now edit the track instead via track edit (which is basically the old program edit)
I assume that, just like the force, you can still save programs as xpm files from a selected track (effectively ‘extracting’ the program data from the track), but also export the entire track as well (including all macros and various other settings) as an xtk file

MPC-Tutor wrote:If it’s not something you can workaround with midi routing then I suppose you have the option of sticking with mpc2, that way your existing workflow can continue, although I assume there will be no more bug fixes for mpc2
