Yes it works with KG too.
Also with the new Slice Motion feature, you can use that to do round robin without using layers. So you can have drum kits with 8 velocity levels, and as many round robins as you want.

Somewhere in the Force Preferences there's the option of both audio & MIDI mute. Sounds like you have it audio mute. Have you tried MIDI mute?

Has anyone been able to test the audio interface selection in MPC3? Can you choose input/output separately? Can you choose the audio rate?

It's weird that they acknowledge an obvious design mistake like that only now, the Force having been like that and in version 3 of the software for years. Maybe they aren't allowed to try using their own products or something.

i wonder if they had a code melt down on 2.x or if it just naturally ran its course. it seems like 2.x went off the frickin rails perhaps because their focus was else-where. i guess time will tell if its lipstick on a pig or if its something we can actually use.

This is exactly what I'm curious about. 8 layers for keygroups would be whole nother level. We still need more modulation possibilities, but this would be a good start.

This track mute per sequence workflow has to come back.

This had been the workflow that had made me so productive when I switched from DAW
to MPC. Now that this workflow is gone, whats a reason to keep the MPC and not switch back to a different more capable DAW? With a proper sized screen and all that?
IDK TBH.

I admit there had bee too much clicking around and back and forth in the "old" (current) OS, and some other changes are very nice. But I need this old workflow option back.

Likewise. Gutted about this change. Everything else in the update makes sense but this change is a showstopper.
