Midi note length beyond end of loop

Hi everyone. New to MPC (loving it) and the forum. Apologies if this seems like a dumb question!

I’m trying to create a midi loop. The pattern that I want has the last note held through back into the start of the bar. But when I record it the finally note ends at the end of the bar.

Is there anyway to may a note last beyond the bar length without messing with the sustain (which seems kinda messy).

Try setting Prefs > Sequencer > Truncate Duration to As Played or Sequence Length. Alternatively, you could try setting the sequence length longer than needed and then shortening it.
