ok, so I screwed up sampling my synth easier way to correct?

So used autosampler to sample all 384 patches in my Yamaha synth, nice 10 second samples, span of 4, no loops, sounds great but.....
Even though I thought I had the levels right most of the samples are a little quiet and I am having to load each key group then sample edit and normalise each sample, it works but its to fricking boring and taking forever,

My cats are feeling neglected so how can I batch normalise all the samples in the key group folder?

Tried a few different apps but dont seem to make the same difference that I get when I do it in the mpc probably cause I haven't got a clue what I am doing, for start does anyone know what the db the Akai uses to set a sample to? not even sure if im using the right terms, some one save my sanity pretty please

The tool you're looking for is called a batch processor. It automates repetitive processing. You drop your wave files in it, choose what you want it to do (like normalize), then choose the output path to save the normalized files to. Then start the process and it does the job for you.

I use Sound Grinder for Mac now. Years ago, I used Sound Forge for Windows. Sound Forge can do more complex processing, but you don't need that for simple things like normalize, sample rate, bit depth, etc.

Hi, thank you this app seems to easily get the right setting/effect I am after tried some other batch apps and just couldn't get them to make any difference to the files, this one does so thank you very much, now I can spend the day making music instead of manually doing 100's of files, thanks again.
